Take the bag and fold it up, to be easier to manage (openings at top/bottom and fold so they remain open ends up and down; dont fold so both open ends touch). Now I start at the top where there is the least oil and cut a strip about the depth of the volcano bowl. ~You use this material (I looked up the safety data sheets for this type of plastic) as a vaporizer bag BECAUSE it's heat resistant.~ So just keep it folded up, cut your strip and drop it in the bowl. It should unwind some. Put the top screen (don't crush the strip), and vape. The vape get's CRAZY once you get to the last 2 strips and really hit the motherload.
I pull the strips out after a run and turn them inside out to keep them from just sticking together. Then reroll it up and stuff it back for another run or two. You can (if you that hard up) cut the strip and run a razor blade along a tightly held strip without tearing it. You can get another .25-.5 gram ball of oil if you do that (by the end of a HIGHLY used bag). I've harvested multiple grams from one bag before, but I was vaping homegrown coated in BHO at a rate of an oz per week mixed with 4 grams of oil in my volcano... the good old days. So if you use the HELL outta your volcano like that you most likely have a shit ton of pure oil on those bags.
Lately I started keeping a large measuring spoon (it's metal) handy so I can put a tablespoon of iso in it and dip the stips to get the last bit off before throwing them out and also to get the oil off my fingers. Then I put the spoon on top of the volcano at 400degrees and boil off the alcohol. A few mins later I have a nice coating of oil to drop some bud on and wipe off.

seriously it’s way easier then any of you have realized. That will remove most of the debris, but while it's still hot, get a mini flat-headed screwdriver and scrape the remaining dust off. Wipe the screwdriver head regularly or you will just be mashing the dust in between the holes. Do it while it's hot, though (not the time you want to, I know) - it makes it so much easier.

Dude, to keep the top screen from getting clogged so quickly, grab the plunger thing as soon as you have run your last bag (use tissue or something, it will be hot) and bang the nut on a hard surface 3 times. 1. fill a container with alcohol.
2. place item to be cleaned inside container.
3. put on lid.
after a while just remove the item and wash it in hot water. eventually you will have a resin filled dip tank.

to recapture the residue left on the volcano bag, or any ofther part of the filling chamber/valve assembly just soak it in isopropyl alcohol.<br

It's a challenge for me to use one bag for a long period so I get as much oil as I can. When your bag is nice and greasy inside, it's ready. I don't use alcohol as I'm too impatient-I simply cut the bag into strips, heat gently over flame (gently), then use a dull blade to scrape that oil off. There's no other apparatus I know of that yields such a fine and valuable product-insted of cruddy resin, you get pure pure oils. Try it!

It’s true, the oily film left on the volcano bag is fine stuff. Considering what has been accomplished cooking with other forms of alcohol in the culinary arts, I'm not inclined to dismiss this arbitrarily. Like these other doubters.

Sounds like a very nice idea, WhereYouAt85.
