so while oil and water wont mix they can stick to one another.
one just wont cause the other to dissolve.
simply put....
all that oily crap in your bong water didnt make it to your lungs.

when something is “water soluble”that means it can be dissolved by water.<br

That's one great thing about the Volcano Vaporizer - because you capture the vapors before inhalation in the bag, there is ample time and surface area to cool the vapors before you use. Depending on your personal preference you can wait as long as needed before using the vapors - allowing them to cool to your desired temperature.
I also believe the initial moisture content of the plant material will effect how dry the vapor is. If it's fresh and has a decent moisture level it will make for less harsh vapors.
The plastics used in the Volcano are designed for heat and approved for medical use. The filling chamber and parts which are exposed directly to the hot air are high quality medical grade steel. The bags are made from a nylon oven hose which is designed to take heat without releasing any chemicals or vapors. I can't speak to the quality of the components in a Voodo Vape, but wouldn't take any chances with my health.
The Volcano also has a CE marking, which certifies that the product has met EU consumer safety, health or environmental requirements. Info here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CE_mark . I also take great confidence in the manufacturing quality and attention to detail in everything Storz and Bickel does. Their location and founding in Tuttlingen, Germany - the "World's Center of Medical Technology" certainly doesn't hurt either.

Thanks for sharing Kushman78

That’s one great thing about the Volcano Vaporizer – because you capture the vapors before inhalation in the bag, there is ample time and surface area to cool the vapors before you use. I thought this was supposed to be less harmful. But after a month of vaporizing my lungs started to bleed and I was coughing up blood in my phlegm!!!! This has never happened to me before. As it turns out the vaporizer was drying out my lungs from the heat!!! I think it is crucial for there to be a cooling down process before inhalation,as the vapor is just as hot as the inside of an oven when it comes out. I am still trying to figure out which is the best glass vaporizer/water tool combo. Do try to avoid the plastic ones at all cost as the plastic emits toxic fumes as it heats up also.

Late last year I caught a bad chest cold and had to stop smoking….I frequently started to vaporize using a voodoo vape. Check it out here : http://www.maps.org/mmj/vaporizer.html I suspect it has something to do with the cooling...

I used to think the same thing… then I read the studies here that showed that waterpipes did cause some loss of active ingredients.
